A Family of Lawyers
Trial Attorney, Partner
Weston O. Watts is a civil trial attorney who combines a modern, aggressive litigation style with the deep institutional knowledge of a firm his family built over three decades. He approaches every case as a trial lawyer first — investing in the facts, the experts, and the preparation that separate credible threats from empty ones. That philosophy has produced results across a wide range of civil matters. His specific experience includes serving as first chair in high-stakes construction disputes, representing families in wrongful death and traumatic brain injury claims, and handling personal injury, insurance bad faith, and business litigation from initial demand through verdict. Weston joined Watts & Watts in 2021 after serving as partner at a prominent general litigation firm, and has since handled over 100 cases and claims to successful conclusions.
Founding Partner
Philip O. Watts is, by any honest measure, one of the most accomplished civil trial lawyers Oklahoma has produced. Over more than three decades at the bar, he has tried cases that others declined to take, won verdicts that others said could not be had, and built a record in the Oklahoma State Courts Network that speaks with more eloquence than any advertisement ever could. His trial experience spans the full breadth of civil litigation — class actions, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, business disputes of every complexity, and matters that defy easy categorization. The number of successful outcomes Philip has secured for clients across Oklahoma is, quite simply, beyond counting. He co-founded Watts & Watts in Nichols Hills in 1994 alongside Beverley Watts, and the firm has stood as a testament to his belief that preparation, persistence, and genuine courtroom skill are the only things that matter when the stakes are real.
Founding Partner
Beverley Watts is, without exaggeration, as respected a legal drafter as Oklahoma City has ever produced. Her career reads as a tour through every institution where the craft of legal writing is demanded at its highest level — from clerking for judges who required nothing less than perfection, to serving in the Office of the Attorney General, to drafting opinions for the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals itself. At each stop, she was entrusted with the work that shapes the law, not merely applies it. That depth of institutional experience is rare. Brought to bear on behalf of a client, it is decisive. Beverley co-founded Watts & Watts in 1994 and remains the intellectual engine of every case the firm prepares — the attorney whose analysis ensures that every argument is airtight, every brief is formidable, and every position is built to last.
In Memoriam
Nick Watts was a two-time CEDA national debate champion who returned to Oklahoma to study law alongside his family. The University of Oklahoma College of Law honored him with a posthumous Juris Doctor degree in 2021. He would have been exceptional at this.
